Hi Lucia! It’s a pleasure to have you as an intern with us this month! To kick things off, could you share a little about yourself?

Hey! Sure! I’m currently back in Staffordshire for the summer, and I’m about to enter my third year of university. I have a passion for all things design and exploring my creativity. I also have a huge love for fashion, which I find to be a perfect outlet for self-expression.

That sounds fantastic! Can you tell us what you’re studying at university?

Absolutely! I’m pursuing a degree in Graphic Design at Salford Uni in Manchester, and I’m thrilled that this year marks my final year on the course.

Exciting times ahead! Let’s talk about your experiences at Ghost. What projects have you been involved in during your time here?

I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to be heavily involved in the rebranding of the drinks brand Roots 2 Ginger, which has been so cool!

I started by conducting in-depth research on the Roots2Ginger brand, delving into their target audience, market competitors, and analysing industry trends within the drinks market. Based on my research findings, I began to explore various ideas for the new brand identity. The Ghost team has been incredibly supportive, guiding me creatively throughout the process.

It’s clear you’ve been working super hard! What aspects of interning at Ghost have you enjoyed the most?

Working in a studio environment alongside other talented creatives has been so great. The feedback I received from the team has been invaluable, and I embraced the opportunity to incorporate their suggestions into my work. This experience has pushed me out of my comfort zone, and I’ve had the chance to work on projects I wouldn’t have encountered elsewhere.

That’s so nice to hear! Do you believe your time here at Ghost has benefitted you in any significant ways?

Absolutely! My proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud software has massively improved during my internship. I’ve gained a deeper understanding of how to leverage fonts and typography to elevate the overall appearance of my designs.

It’s evident that Ghost has been a great fit for you. What led you to intern here, and how have you grown as a designer?

I chose Ghost because they are an inspiring, modern, and trend-setting design studio. Their innovative approach to design and commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest trends is what really appealed to me. Being surrounded by such creative people and learning from their constructive and positive feedback has hugely accelerated my growth as a designer.

We’re a team of creatives who believe that our individual abilities and perspectives are amplified when we come together to create change for our clients.
