Midlands based company; EMST specialise in the supply and manufacturing of quality cutting tools for the woodworking, Engineering and Allied Trade sectors across the UK.

EMST came to ghost wanting a new visual brand identity that reflected the forward-thinking brand that they have become. The client particularly wanted the new brand to be modern and minimal with lots of white space and polished imagery.

The new brand is contemporary, it captures EMSTs ambition to be seen as the intelligent choice for reliability within the industry and throughout the UK. We began by simplifying the logo. We opted for a clean, bold, and legible typeface and paired this with a simplified version of the rotary saw blade that was noticeable within the old brand. Retaining a link to their heritage, whilst creating a look that elevated them to the national platform they were growing into.

The client also wanted a suit of Images for the new website and future literature. The brief was to create high end, polished imagery that inspires confidence in their customers. To achieve this, we opted for creating 3D renders instead of photography. By doing this we have so much more flexibility, the 3Ds can be placed into many different environments and used not only as still imagery but as animated videos as well.

Over the years EMST have become great partners to Ghost, all built on mutual trust of our collective knowledge. It all started with a logo design in 2013, up to today, where we have produced numerous projects, working along side their key stakeholders.
